The main purpose of laboratory databases is to expand information about geosciences laboratories. Geosciences Laboratories Database of Iran was established in Research Center of Karajan as an international laboratory center to offer comprehensive information of laboratory sciences to all users. In this database, further and more classified information about different laboratory fields such as geosciences applied laboratories, sample preparation, sampling, processing, uranium, etc. are presented. One of the forth- coming projects of this database is to expand laboratory information in a different format of laboratory database; for example, gold, cement and processing laboratories databases.

There are different laboratory databases on this site which include:
 1- Geosciences Applied Laboratories Database
In this database, different geosciences laboratories of Iran are practically introduced. Note this information will be studied based upon divisions of the country in the future. This database mainly includes information about analysis status forms and sample preparation methods in each laboratory, number of analysis per day, month and year, number of laboratory technicians, analysis prices per each laboratory, preparation time of samples, laboratory methods & instruments, detection limit, multi elemental analysis, etc.  This allows users to select this center with full knowledge for laboratory services & analysis of samples. 

     
2- Sample Preparation:
The preparation of samples is of great importance for analysis & measurement of elements. In this database, a complete introduction of type of samples, sample preparation methods and related instruments as well as different materials & tools required for sample preparation, standard preparation methods of samples & elemental compounds, etc. has been presented.
In addition, different sample preparation laboratories which all are shown related to each other are introduced on this database. Therefore, all users can have easy access to information of interest about sampling & preparation of samples and etc. 

3- Sample Collection
Appropriate sampling and preparation of samples is the basis of mineral projects including exploration, extraction and mineralization & processing. For example, proper sample collection must be maintained throughout the project life for deposits specification. Generally, sampling processes are of important aspects of a research program. The proper collection and handling of field samples is the first step towards preventing environmental prosecution and liabilities. The main purpose of sampling is to study the geochemical reactions of samples were collected. Therefore, type and method of sample collection is the first and main step of sampling process.

4- Uranium
Currently, energy and their resources are of great importance to different governments. In addition, promotion and benefit use of energy resourses is need for economic and social developments of countries. In this direction, it has been tried to design uranium database to offer information about importance of uranium for nuclear fuels to all users. Uranium laboratories includes information about uranium, uranium resources, applications, exploration, processing, enrichment, uranium samples , laboratories and research centers of uranium in Iran & all over the world.
