In Applied Research Center of Geological Survey of Iran, different researches have been carried out on related geological sciences such as applied sciences of geochemistry, marine geology, medical geology and gemology.
In this section, the concepts of related sciences are introduced completely to achieve the below- mentioned purposes. The basic knowledge of geosciences concepts results in increase of data application on practical level. Based upon this, the information of related sciences is described in practical to increase proficiency of geosciences laboratories.
The information of this section were classified and processed and then introduced a long with sub branches of each science for all users and researchers.  

Geochemistry
Geochemistry is a science founded based upon geochemistry processes and deals with study of methods and chemical analysis, rocks, minerals and mobile fluids. The geochemistry studies require geochemical laboratories with very high precision such as analysis of trace and main elements, radiogenic and stable isotopes. Geochemistry can be defined as a science deals with the earth's chemistry and components and applied to study distribution and migration of chemical elements inside the earth. It is also a science deals with study of different minerals and elements, fundamental particles of rocks and their natural migration. This science introduces the nature of the earth, history, metamorphism, orogenesis, rivers and lakes, volcanoes and lava and continual deposition of sands on oceans depth.  

Medical Geology
Medical geology is a science deals with study of relation between geochemical factors and health problems of human and animal as well as the main role of drug minerals in medicine and pharmacology. A medical geologist should have required skills to perform duties well such as:
• Mineralogy and petrology
• Drug minerals and their application
• Healthy effect of environmental factors and diseases 

Marine Geology
Marine geological studies and researches for economical, safety, political, army, environmental purposes, etc with advanced technologies and modern techniques are issues unavoidable. In this direction, there should be hundreds of research and educational centers and bilateral cooperations should be expanded on developed countries. The other achievements are the qualitative and quantitative promotion of technical sciences, methods and technologies, modeling and presentation of research patterns, profits of water and underground water resources which have tangible and intangible influences on daily routine of human life. The optimum use of important marine resources, in addition to economical advantages, is of great significance on defensive and army issues.
