Different Types of Indicators & Analytical Samples

Samples are prepared for analysis in laboratories with different methods & instruments. Samples are analyzed can be classified into solid, liquid and gas. In addition, different types of samples depend on type of method and instrument which are used. In this section, different types of samples are introduced
Column '_Title' does not belong to table .
Bulk Sample
Name : Bulk Sample
Discription : A large sample of mineralized rock, frequently hundreds of tonnes, selected in such a manner as to be representative of the potential orebody being sampled. Used to determine metallurgical characteristics.
Glass and Ceramic samples
Name : Glass and Ceramic samples
Concrete sample
Name : Concrete sample
Discription : Concrete is composed of sand, gravel, crushed rock, or other aggregates held together by a hardened paste of cement and water. As the architecture of any major city around the world can attest, concrete is one of the most widely used structural building materials.
liquid sample
Name : liquid sample
Discription : A liquid is a sample of matter that conforms to the shape of a container in which it is held, and which acquires a defined surface in the presence of gravity. The term liquid is also used in reference to the state, or condition, of matter having this property.
powder samples
Name : powder samples
Discription : The casting powder is a homogenous mixture of the sample powder dehydrated by ignition and a flux (Li2B4O7 = di-lithium tetraborate). The flux lowers the melting point of the mixture far enough, so that the powder easily melts at ca. 1150°C and can be casted.
Plastic Samples
Name : Plastic Samples
Rock sample
Name : Rock sample
Discription : All samples are described by experienced graduate geologists and an estimation is made of the amounts of the different lithologies within the samples.
Thin section sample
Name : Thin section sample
Discription : A thin section is a 30 µm (= 0.03 mm) thick slice of rock attached to a glass slide with epoxy. Typical thin section slides are 26 mm x 46 mm, although larger ones can be produced. They are generally covered by another glass slide, a cover slip also attached to the rock with epoxy. The epoxy ideally has an index of refraction of 1.54, although our epoxy is slightly higher, perhaps 1.56.
Fossi sampel
Name : Fossi sampel
Discription : Fossils are the remains of ancient organisms, usually animals and plants but also minute bacteria and occasionally fungi. They are preserved by natural processes of burial. Most are entombed in sediment - mud, silt or sand - which with time transforms into a sedimentary rock such as sandstone..
Gas sample
Name : Gas sample
Discription : A gas is a sample of matter that conforms to the shape of a container in which it is held and acquires a uniform density inside the container, even in the presence of gravity and regardless of the amount of substance in the container
solid sample
Name : solid sample
Discription : A solid is a sample of matter that retains its shape and density when not confined. The atom s or molecule s of matter in the solid state are generally compressed as tightly as the repulsive forces among them will allow
Soil and Sediment samples
Name : Soil and Sediment samples
Gel sample
Name : Gel sample
